Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Isle ("Isle", "we", "us", or "our") governing your access to and use of the Isle mobile, tablet, and desktop applications, the byisle.com website, and any related features, APIs, and services (together, the "Service").
By creating an account, tapping "I agree" during signup, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country to consent to the processing of your personal data) to use Isle. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
You must also have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract and must not be barred from using the Service under the laws of your jurisdiction.
3. Your Account
To use most features of Isle you must create an account by providing an email address, a password, a username, and basic profile details such as your name, country, and city. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential, for all activity that occurs on your account, and for keeping your contact details accurate.
You must notify us promptly at support@byisle.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are compromised, fraudulent, or used in violation of these Terms.
4. The Service
Isle is a personal operating environment that combines an AI assistant (including, but not limited to, the Flint and Astra assistants), an infinite workspace canvas with nodes and agents, file storage and retrieval, a built-in browser, habit, challenge and progression tools (including day rings, streaks, and ascension), social features such as profiles and following, and optional integrations with third-party services via OAuth and similar connectors.
Features may change, launch, or be withdrawn over time. We may add, remove, or modify functionality at our reasonable discretion, and some features may be offered on a beta, experimental, or limited basis.
5. User Content
"User Content" means any content you create, upload, import, record, or otherwise submit to Isle, including workspace nodes, notes, files, images, audio, transcripts, messages to AI assistants, profile information, and social posts.
You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting User Content, you grant Isle a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, store, reproduce, process, transmit, and display that content solely as necessary to operate, secure, and improve the Service for you, and to provide the specific features you use (for example, syncing a file you uploaded across your devices or rendering a node you placed on a workspace).
You are solely responsible for your User Content and for ensuring you have the rights necessary to upload and use it within the Service. You must not upload content that infringes intellectual property rights, violates privacy or publicity rights, or is unlawful.
6. AI Features
Isle includes AI-powered features such as conversational assistants, voice interactions, agentic workflows, and content suggestions. Output generated by AI features may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated, and should not be relied upon as professional advice (including legal, medical, or financial advice).
When you interact with an AI assistant, your prompts, transcripts, files you choose to attach, and related context may be processed by Isle and by trusted AI infrastructure providers in order to generate a response. You must not use AI features to generate content that is unlawful, harmful, harassing, deceptive, or that infringes the rights of others.
Certain agentic features may take actions on your behalf (for example, browsing the web, drafting messages, or operating connected integrations). You remain responsible for reviewing and approving any such actions before relying on them.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: (a) use the Service to violate any law or regulation; (b) harass, threaten, impersonate, or harm other users; (c) upload malware, spam, or any content that is sexual content involving minors, promotes self-harm, or incites violence; (d) attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or circumvent any security or rate-limiting controls; (e) use the Service to build a competing product or to scrape, train, or fine-tune any third-party model on data obtained from the Service without our written permission; or (f) interfere with the proper operation of the Service or the experience of other users.
We may investigate suspected violations and take action we consider appropriate, including removing content, limiting features, suspending or terminating accounts, and cooperating with law enforcement.
8. Third-Party Integrations
Isle may let you connect to third-party services (such as calendar, email, or cloud storage providers) via OAuth or similar mechanisms. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services or for any loss or damage arising from your use of them.
You can disconnect integrations at any time from within Isle's settings. Some features may no longer work after disconnection.
9. Fees, Subscriptions, and Billing
Some features may be offered as paid subscriptions, one-time purchases, or usage-based plans (for example, additional AI usage, storage quota, or premium integrations). Prices, billing intervals, and renewal terms will be shown at the point of purchase.
Unless otherwise stated or required by law, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and fees are non-refundable. You can manage or cancel a subscription through the store or billing channel where you purchased it (for example, the Apple App Store).
10. Intellectual Property
Isle and all associated software, designs, logos, and content (other than User Content) are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited licence to use the Service granted in these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.
Feedback, suggestions, or ideas you submit about the Service may be used by us without restriction and without any obligation to you.
11. Termination
You may stop using Isle at any time and delete your account from within settings. We may suspend or terminate your account or the Service, in whole or in part, if you materially breach these Terms, if your account poses a security or legal risk, or if we are required to do so by law.
On termination, your right to use the Service ends. We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business reasons, as described in our Privacy Policy.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Isle disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, nor that any content (including AI-generated content) will be accurate or reliable.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Isle will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to Isle in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) GBP 50.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Isle and its officers, employees, and agents from any claim or demand, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or related to your User Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms or of applicable law.
15. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. You and Isle agree that the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, except where mandatory consumer laws in your country of residence grant you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you within the app or by email before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account.
17. Contact
